Worryingly, people are also reporting in those comments that they have unusually high disk activity when using Chrome.

When I see things like this I want to tear people another one.

I'm not even going to look into the code security of Chrome, it's simply banned outright from all networks I have responsibility for based on the above. Period! Note that I've banned it even before reading the part where El Reg says we might ban such things!
